Mongolia has required structured electronic VAT receipts (eBarimt) for B2B, B2G and B2C transactions since 2016, issued through certified software linked to the Tax Administration's real-time system. Each receipt carries a unique identifier and QR code, with B2C buyers able to reclaim VAT via the eBarimt app.
